Sectota.com

A smart .com brand name with credibility and authority

In branding terms, Sectota has it all. For a start, it's a distinctive invented name that's short and easy to say and spell - and it comes with an exact-match .com domain. These qualities alone set it apart. But Sectota is also evocative - the '-tota' ending suggests the word 'total' - so might refer to a complete service or comprehensive product range. And the opening 'Sec-' element could suggest 'security', or 'sector' depending on your business perspective. It's a name that will resonate as much with businesses in the security and cyber-security sectors as it will with marketing and consultancy firms that focus on sector segmentation and analysis.

About the domain transfer

Novanym owns all the domains on our website, and we don't sell on behalf of third parties. So, as soon as you buy a domain name from us, it belongs to you. But there’s a short process involved in moving it from our domain name registrar to yours. This process is called a ‘domain transfer’.

  • If you don’t already have one, you will need an account with a Domain Name Registrar, like Godaddy, Namecheap, Network Solutions, FastDomain, etc.
  • You can then request to ‘Transfer-in’ your new domain to your account.
  • When transferring-in your new domain, you’ll be asked to enter an ‘Authoristation Code’ (sometimes called an ‘EPP’) , which we will have emailed to you after you made your purchase.
  • Domain transfers are usually completed within hours, but can very occasionally take a few days.
  • Once the domain name is in your account, it is yours to keep forever - as long as you pay a small annual ‘renewal fee’ (typically around US$15) to your domain registrar. There are no ongoing charges from Novanym.
  • Your chosen domain name registrar may make a small charge for the transfer (typically around US$15), but this usually includes your first year’s annual fee.
